How to get to Iceland?
Since Iceland is an island the easiest and the quickest way to get here is with an airplane.
Fly to Iceland
A number of international airlines maintain regular scheduled flights to Iceland from both Europe and North-America.
Sail to Iceland
Smyril Line car ferry M/S Norröna sails between Seyðisfjörður in Iceland, Hirtshals in Denmark and Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands once a week. The ferry gives travellers the option of bringing their own vehicles to Iceland.
Arriving in Iceland
When you arrive in Iceland or to be specific your first destination is, of course, Keflavík Airport which is approximately 20-30 minutes from Reykjavík. You can take the bus that leaves every 30 minutes from the airport, starting from 03:30 in the morning and stopping late in the evening around 23:00 or you can rent a car and maybe start with a quick stop in the famous Blue Lagoon wich is only around 10 minutes away from the airport and in the same direction as Reykjavík is. There is now a new road Sudurstrandarvegur that you can drive to go directly to South Iceland.
